The fire received light rains last night, providing firefighters with another day of moderate
conditions. The fire continues to smolder and creep on the southern perimeter with multiple tree torching on the north and east flanks.
Structure triage along Nixon Fork continues. Direct attack suppression activities along the Kuskokwim and Takotna Rivers. With warmer and dryer weather conditions predicted to arrive by this on Monday or Tuesday there is a potential for significant fire growth.
Land ownership State owned 85%; MTNT Ltd. 4%; Doyon Ltd. (native corporation) 11%. 20 structures and 13 outbuildings threatened.
