The Obama Administration has gotten in bed with the Burn Baby Burn crowd. If all goes according to nefarious plan, the holocausters will take landscape-scale forest incineration to new heights.

Three recent news blurbs indicate the power that radical anti-human, pro-holocaust crazies now wield with our dysfunctional government. First, it turns out Interior Secretary Ken Salazar was lying [here] when he told a Senate committee last March that there is no “hidden federal agenda” to unilaterally designate national monuments in Utah and around the West.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Recently released documents show the Obama administration was getting ideas from environmental groups about setting aside millions of acres in the West, drawing the ire of land users who said discussions were being developed behind their back.

In the documents - most of which are e-mail messages - the environmental groups suggest various ways to protect land, such as by creating national monuments, buying private land or through conservation easements.

A subsequent internal Interior Department memo - which the agency said is simply the product of brainstorming - listed 2.5 million acres in Montana for a new bison range as one of 14 sites in nine Western states being considered as national monuments. …

Republicans who submitted an information request to obtain the documents blasted the information as proof that the administration was privately crafting large-scale land use plans. Federal agencies have so far produced only a fraction of the requested documents, they said.

“We now find references to plans that Montanans were told weren’t in the works,” said U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg, a Montana Republican. “This doesn’t pass the smell test.”

The law allows the President to declare unlimited acres of Federal land as “national monuments”, a designation that, like wilderness and roadless, invites Let It Burn.

House panel OKs expansion of Oregon Caves monument

A bill expanding protection of the Oregon Caves National Monument moved a step closer to becoming law following approval in the House Natural Resources Committee Wednesday morning.

HR 2889, introduced last year by U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Springfield, calls for the 480-acre monument to be expanded by some 4,070 acres. Supporters say it would protect the monument’s water source, improve forest health and increase tourism in the area. …

Similar legislation introduced by Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., last year is expected to be marked up in the Senate Energy and Resources Committee this summer, according to Tom Towslee, the senator’s spokesman in Oregon. Oregon junior Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., is a cosponsor of that legislation.

Expanding the area around the monument would help protect its sensitive environment as well as boost the local tourism industry, said Lesley Adams of Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center in Ashland, which has been pushing for the legislation …

But Dave Schott, executive vice president of the Southern Oregon Timber Industries Association, cautions that it reflects a trend to further reduce the timber harvest base from local public land.

“The concern we would have is that it continues the gradual encroachment, more and more land taken out of management,” he said. “Four thousand acres isn’t a lot of land but it continues that incremental increase.”

He noted there also is a proposal to create a roughly 600,000-acre Siskiyou Crest National Monument along the Oregon-California border as well as another effort to expand protection along the lower Wild and Scenic Rogue River.

“Without management, you are just encouraging more severe wildfires,” he said, noting the 2002 Biscuit fire burned at will in the roughly 200,000-acre Kalmiopsis Wilderness on the west side of the forest. … [more]

The Biscuit Fire (2002, 500,000 acres) was the second megafire to incinerate the Kalmiopsis Wilderness in the last 15 years. The first was the Silver Fire (1987, 180,000 acres) [here]. Considering that no fuel treatments are contemplated, and the de facto fire plan is Let It Burn, more megafires are guaranteed to occur there and elsewhere in Oregon..

The radical Burn Baby Burn crowd just can’t get enough of incinerating Oregon’s priceless heritage forests.

They would like to incinerate the entire West, as a matter of fact. Hidden in the Kerry-Lieberman 1,000-page Cap-and-Tax Bill introduced last week is Y2Y, aka Yellowstone to Yukon, aka The Wildlands Project.

The Wildlands Project is the brainchild of the radical monkeywrencher group Earth First!. Their burning desire is to “set aside” 90% of the land area of the West in “core reserves” and “wildlife corridors” where human activities such as land stewardship and firefighting would be banned. The Wildland Project also calls for pan-ethnic cleansing, since much of the targeted lands are privately owned and currently inhabited by human residents, aka American citizens.

What does the Wildlands Project have to do with Global Warming? Nothing, except that Cap-and-Tax doesn’t either. It’s a power grab; hence the name “The American Power Act” [here]. And buried in Cap-and-Tax is Section 6009: The National Fish and Wildlife Cooridors Information Program.

Sec 6009 (b) ESTABLISHMENT.-Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary, in cooperation with the States and Indian tribes, shall establish a National Fish and Wildlife Habitat and Corridors Information Program. …

(2) CONTENTS.-The System shall—
(A) include maps, data, and descriptions of fish and wildlife habitat and corridors that
(i) have been developed by Federal agencies, State wildlife agencies, and natural heritage programs, Indian tribes, local governments, nongovernmental organizations, and industry; and
(ii) meet accepted geospatial interoperability framework data and metadata protocols and standards;
(B) include maps and descriptions of projected shifts in habitats and corridors of fish and wildlife species in response to climate change; …

(L)(g) to ensure that relevant State and Federal plans that affect fish and wildlife—
(1) prevent unnecessary habitat fragmentation and disruption of corridors;
(2) promote the landscape connectivity necessary to allow wildlife to move as necessary to meet biological needs, adjust to shifts in habitat, and adapt to climate change; …

What all that legal gibberish means is that Kerry, Lieberman, and the Obama Administration want to use “climate change” as an excuse to implement Y2Y and the Wildlands Project.

Cap-and-Tax is more than Taxzilla, the largest tax grab in history, and more than an Enron-style carbon offset Ponzi scheme to enrich Algore and the Chicago Mob — it is also a plan to take over, drive out the residents, and incinerate 90% of the land in the West.

Next time you get a chance to vote for a Congressman or a President, please don’t vote for any more holcauster crazy persons or their Howdy Doody sockpuppets.

Like thermonuclear war, wholesale land takeovers punctuated by regional megafires are not healthy for children and other living things. Scorched earth toxic moonscapes are not “environmental” — despite what the so-called “environmentalists” would like you to believe.
