Lunar Eclipse Right Now

The Moon is disappearing. About 80% gone. Supposed to be total in 15 minutes. Great view from here.

And it’s gone! Well, not gone. The Moon is dim and orange, like a Chinese lantern.

And she returns! in a glowing crescent, like a cradle of light in the sky.

Was there ever any doubt?

Here in Ohio, the lunar eclipse is almost over, with more and more of the white moon emerging — almost 70 percent back. Thanks to God for the crystal-clear evening, complete with four frosty degrees to compliment the seven sparkling inches of fluffy snow we received earlier. A nice slow watering for the plants, for sure! And the moon and skyful of stars to watch over our moon-gazing this special night!
