Shamed into issuing a report, today’s NPS 209 indicates that this fire has tripled in size since Monday. The Tuolumne County Air Pollution Control District and Hetch Hetchy San Francisco Water and Power are stooges in all this. Their names are used as “cooperators” but it is doubtful they have a clue about what is going on.

NPS has decided to stop reporting on this fire. Not that their reports to-date have been worth a plug nickle. What a worthless excuse for a government agency the NPS is.

Fire is being managed for multiple objectives; primarily forest restoration!
Note: this is new. The NPS now defines wildfire as “restoration”. That kind of bureaucratic doublespeak is an abomination. Old-growth forest destruction by catastrophic wildfire is not “restoration”. Cut their tongues out.

Note: the NPS is attempting to spread the responsibility for this fire to other bureaucracies.
Now take that statement to the next level. There are currently 52 large fires being managed for multiple management objectives. Only fires that are being fought for suppression purposes are denoted as “uncontained.” Which implies that the 52 fires that are not being fought for total suppression are therefore “contained” in the sense that containing them is not a management objective. I guess they will be “contained” until they are not.
I don’t find any of this not understandable. Makes sense in the post Bill Clinton United States. Bill Clinton’s daughter just married a kid whose father was a Congressman from Iowa who traded in his wife for a television reporter while in Congress, and after he was no longer in Congress, found himself serving a prison sentence for a fraud of $10,000,000. Children, if any, that Chelsea might produce will have some serious hokey pokey in his or her gene pool. I wonder if the fathers- in- law had some serious discussions of the meaning of “is?” Or did they just invent this deal where a fire that is being managed to not be contained is considered contained because to call it uncontained would be counter productive to the goal of mass incineration, and so we shall call those fires “contained” because it is a lot easier to deceive the public when you honestly are dishonest.
