Total Acres Burned: 440,144

*Revised fire number reflects new fire intelligence reported by both state and federal agencies.

These numbers are total fires and acres that have occurred from state, local and federal firefighting agencies beginning June 20, 2008.

Highway closures: State highways and local roads are closed throughout California due to wildfire activities. Closures and delays are in place for State Highways 1 (Big Sur Area), 32, 70 and 299 (delays). Numerous county and local roads are closed as well. Travelers are advised to seek current information from local law enforcement.

Evacuations: Areas of Monterey, Santa Barbara and Shasta counties are under evacuation orders at this time. Precautionary evacuation orders are in place for areas in Butte, Kern, Mariposa, Mendocino, Monterey and Shasta counties. Residents are advised to monitor the fire situation in their areas, check with local law enforcement agencies for information, and be prepared to evacuate when necessary.

Structures Threatened: 7,798 residences, 165 commercial, 2,906 outbuildings. Structures Destroyed: 31 residences, 1 commercial, 28 outbuildings.

Estimated fire suppression costs to date: $176,127,676*

*Includes Clover Fire and Indians Fire, but missing Brown Fire. Not all reported cost figures are up-to-date as of 07/02. Actual costs to date possibly as much as $200 million.
